Are you looking for a speaker, exhibit, or program that will promote social, political, cultural, or economic information key to helping folks become active participants in the civic life of their community? Voices Exchange is a clearinghouse for local speakers, performers, religious community leaders, skills trainers, academics, and other specialists. Through its on-line database, Voices Exchange can connect talented fols with your congregation for a special presentation, lecture, exhibit, colloquium, workshop, or leadership training. Voices Exchange is founded by The American Friends Service Committee A ninety-year-old national peace, social justice, and humanitarian aid organization The Oak Park Coalition for Truth and Justice A community-based peace and ustice organization United for Peace -- Faithful Citizenship A Chicago area interfaith peace coalition www.Voices-Exchange.org Faith in Place Faith in Place seeks to engage religious congregations in the Chicago Region around issues of long-term environmental sustainability. The founder and prime mover is UU minister Rev. Clare Butterfield, a community and affiliate minister with Unity Temple, Oak Park. Faith in Place is an interfaith organization which designs programs to reach out to the whole religious community, creating new partnerships among religious congregations and building new leadership for the stewardship of creation. It programs seek to engage members of religious communities in the larger world needing their hope and mindfulness. Faith in Place organizes conferences, community projects spearheaded by religious groups, and advocacy initiatives.
